APPEARANCE:
During their time of growing up together, many people would note how similar Itō and Itada looked, and their perception wasn't off. Born from the same father, albeit different mothers, they were always alike but never the same.

Perhaps thankfully to his handsome father, Itō inherited a lot of the traits of a noble. His face is aristrocratic and his features seem as though they'd been cut out of stone to rival perfection. One difference between the brothers has always been their hair. While both fashion it long, Itō dark silk has always been smooth, lacking the thick ferocity of Itada's locks.

Itō has never been able to keep a certain look of distrust form his features. It is influenced by moods, like the fact of any other, but the spread if possesses ranges only from doubtful to cynical. As he grew up, Itō became darker, and so did his expressions.

PERSONALITY:
It remains to be discussed if Itō ever had a chance. Born from a night of sin, his soul was tainted before the moment he'd been conceived. A silent child, his grim looks have always been the mirror of his inherit superiority.

Name: Yominuma [Swamp of the Underworld] 黄泉沼

Appearance: Yominuma is a regular katana. It comes with a handguard and a polished blade, although it seems to 'catch' light, rather than reflect it, as if it'd been polished into a dull look. The scabbard is dark, woven through by streaks of brown. The handle's wrapping is brown. The bottom of the handle is styled in the shape of a dragon head. The handguard is made out of a metal ring that looks like a shape formed out of multiple arms, each palm grasping the wrist of another to weave into a net of sorts.

Inner World: Yominuma's inner world is a battle field. So much blood has been spilled upon it that the ground has been turned into mud. Upon a small hill, overlooking the sight of slaughter, sits Yominuma's spirit. Everything about the inner world of Yominuma is depressing and dark. The air is heavy with disease and the mud-covered battlefield houses countless trapped souls.

Spirit: Yominuma is a humanoid spirit, styled in the fashion of a buddha. He is greedy, fat and reeks of insanity. He has several servants who constantly deliver dead bodies from the battle field to his hill. There, he will cut off their heads with his sword. The head will then roll down the hill, where a pile of skulls frames the area. The rest of the body will be stuffed, greedily down Yominuma's throat. He is easily angered when not respected and an entirely corrupted presence.

Release Phrase: Swallow
Shikai Form: Upon engaging, Yominuma releases a large amount of mud, turning the surrounding area in a swamp. Its basic ability is to direct the swamp with swings of its blade. More mud can be created by absorbing Reishi and breaking it down. Given enough time, it can create a limitless amount of mud. The muds basic ability is to absorb. Opponents caught by the mud will feel its sucktion. They will be slowed down, and eventually swallowed. Once covered by mud, they will slowly be destroyed by the pressure of Yominuma's reiatsu and the lethal pH-value resulting the 'digested' remnants of its former victims. The only way to escape Yominuma's grasp is by holding the very blade, or by possessing incredible strength. Speed is meaningless, once one has been caught, alas it may keep one from ever being grasped.

Rashoumon [Fortress Gate]
Like a story of old, the user can make a fortress gate appear from the swamp, as though Yominuma had swallowed an entire castle. This gate is demonic in appearance and sturdy, easily comparable to the giant portals that are part of Soul Society's walls. Up to give gates can be summoned, each capable of withstanding considerable punishment.Once they've been broken, they return to the swamp underground where they can repaired, depending on the level of destruction.

Rashoumon - Kagami [Mirror Gate]
The gates can be used to swallow something instead of blocking it. The swallowed amount of energy will then be transfered to a different gate, allowing the user to throw ranged attacks back at the opponent.

Shuugyakakuu [Reversed Harvest]
Instead of the people feeding upon the fields, the fields feed upon the people. Echoing the lives of those who have been swallowed by Yominuma, the user can create hands made out of condensed mud. These are flexible and can be turned into stone as sturdy as Yominuma itself. The Shikai's limit are a hundred human-sized arms. These can be used to further pin down victims or to strike. They can appear from any spot afflicted by mud. Multiple arms can be forged into a bigger shape, making gigantic limbs. The limit of a hundred arms cannot be exceeded in Shikai, however, limiting the overall size of this technique.

Shoukyokawa [Melting Swamp]
This technique relies on the gastric fluids that form the lower layer of Yominuma, and they are harvested from the remains of everything that has died within the black swamp's embrace. This liquid is toxic and can be detonated. While it had no explosive force, its corrosive abilities can cause burns and melt down even. The supply of this technique is limited and it is usually utilized as overcoat for a sword. It should be noted that while the supply of this liquid is limited, not an ounce if ever lost, since Yominuma will continiously reabsorb the acid and reform it.

Bankai: Yominuma Nigojigoku 黄泉沼二号地獄 [Second Coming of Hell]
Effect: Placing Yominuma in the air, the user folds both of their palms together and speaks the required incantation. Resulting this display, a halo of arms will grow behind the user like wings. Earthen buddha. Shortly after its appearance, the buddha/Kannon will explode into a sea of mud, far greater an amount than even the Shikai had produced.

The buddha will open up its hands to the sky, causing clouds to accumlate, water will then rain from the heavens, upon the ground, it will further mix with the mud of Yominuma and extend its range.

Raining sky mud. Earth mud.

Activating Bankai, Itou will be able to produce greater amounts of mud.

Kokusho [Evening Star]
This technique is an avatar type, meaning that the Zanpakutou will display itself using the elemental properties of the sword. Kokusho summons part of a dragon that is long, serpentine and the representation of Yominuma. Like a sea-snake, it can dive and swim through the sea of mud, attack opponents, swallow them or constrict. Should any attack shatter Kokusho, he will self-destruct into en explosion of mud and simply reform itself. It is hard to destroy this sword's soul.

Senjusatsu [Thousand-Armed Murder]
This stage shows Yominuma's intimidating self. However, like the spirit himself, is slow and more so a tool of intimidation. Thousands of hands emanate from the statue's back in countless concentric rows, while its two main hands are clasped as if in prayer. Upon its head, there rests a snake.

The statue can serve a variety of purposes in battle from fighting on the user's behalf, to defending. By its sheer size, it can crush most opposition. Usually, the user would disconnect all the arms of the statue and channel them through the muddy underground, creating ranged attacks while relying on the main statue's protection.

Kokusho no Senjukousatsu
[Kokusho's s Thousand Armoured Hands Layered Murder]
This technique compresses all of Senju's hands into a layered piece of armour. They are so compressed that they seem invisble. The only visual representation of the Bankai state are a dragon-tail made of earth at the user's back, and an dragon head upon his shoulder, forming an armour of sorts.

Kokusho abandons all ability to reform itself and instead creates a thousand layers of armour. Should a deadly attack hit the user, layers correspending to the strength of the attack will be shattered instead. In a sense, the user has to be killed a thousand times before his true harm the body below the condensed reiatsu, can be harmed.

Kawa no Scroll [Scroll]
A sized scroll, almost as big as man. This is a tool that was created by Itou himself, although he was never an enginneer. It is the result of doing battle with Quincy and witnessing their ability to form weapons out of spiritual energy. After he'd killed his victims and contained them within Yominuma, he began to study their abilities. Then, he broke a piece out of his sword and worked it into the scroll, which isn't formed of paper, but of a skinned Quincy. As a result, this scroll can be used to absorb Reishi and manipulate it into shapes. Not quite a Quincy at heart, Itou has only ever used it to entertain his desire for additional weapons. These tools lack the ability to further absorb reishi once they've been detached from the scroll, but while they remain around Itou, he can create almost any weapon made out of Reishi and fight with it on a level dicated by his physical prowess with multiple blades.

Zanjutsu [Master]
As expected of any captain -- Zanjutsu being the primary method of Shinigami combat -- Itō is a master of the sword. While there are bigger gods among the pantheon of blades, his sword is infouenced by a lethalty that can only be garnered from serving in the Special Forces. Or ... by being a murderer. His sub-mastery extends to multiple weapons, not simply the standard katana.

Hakuda [Master]
Itō's hands are lethal. A former commander of the second division, this can be expected. His fists are capable of tearing through Hierro and he can snap necks like twigs. His application of Hakuda is based on technique, meaning his strength isn't savage and brute. Rather, he knows how to counter opponents and when/how to hit them for maximum efficiency.

While the control over his spiritual pressure is masterful, it is hindered by his personality. When hit by a rave of bloodlust, Itō will disregard spiritual control and become a savage butcher, discarding friend and foe alike until his bipolar desire for has been sated. In that sense, one should say that this skill has been mastered, in theory, but is unreliable.

Shunkō [Flash War Cry]
Shunkō is the highest form of Shinigami close combat. Combining Kidō and Hakuda, the Shinigami will eject energy from behind their arms to power up attacks. Paired witht the lethal speed of Shunpō, these devastating attacks can be delivered in a heartbeat and become an infero.

There are different types of kidou, displayed in the type of manifestation. Itō affinity is lightning, meaning that his Shunkō coveres his body in lightning, which is actually high-frequency Kidō. It being lightning gives Itō's Shunkō style a devastating punch. Itō's perfected form is

Hanki [Demon Magic]
An ability which nullifies an opponent's Kidō by hitting it with another one of perfectly opposite speed and energy. The ability can even neutralize an opponent's movements in close combat.

Yurendanken [Vibration Return Fist]
Itō charges up vibrations in his fist, covering it in white lightning. He will then attack, releasing the super-charged mass of vibrations at once, deliverng a single punch with the force of many. If trapped between an object and his fist, the continued devastation

Raikiri [Lightning Cutter]
Super-charging all of his Shunkō energy, Itō can neutralize almost any application of Kidō or condensed Reishi. The required energy to destabilize an opponents ultimate attack will leave him unable to utilize Shunkō for the remainder of the conflict, his spiritual control suffering short-time damage.
