Whilst Xybalanque may appear to have the body of an old man in his later years his physical state is quite fit and well for his physical appearance, his skin being a pale milky colour comparable to flour or something of the sort, he no longer retains the smooth face he had in his youthful days that he no longer remembers, back when he was still a human and still alive, still normal but now his body appears to be old and worn yet his resilience has yet to falter shown by the fact he hasn't just disintegrated into a pile of ash. His clothing is reminiscent of old Japanese samurai in which Xybalanque wasn't alive to witness as he died a few hundred years prior but, as he began to observe the citizens of Japan every now and again viewing how they dressed and what they wore and when Xybalanque saw some more lightweight samurai gear he was enticed by the fluency of the motions possible inside of it combined with the durability of it so he wore a chest piece, a helmet with the sign of the 8th squad inscribed on it and two pieces on each leg, one for the calf and one for the shin.
Personality::
Back in the days of his youth Xybalanque used to be a kind and loving person with quite a daft outlook on life, however now that he has grown old and wise he no longer appears happy or loving but now he seems much more strict and stern, almost as if the only thing he cares about in his life is defeating the enemy of soul society at whatever the cost because after over a thousand years of living in constant torture and agony of his losses over time, the worst thing is that he's seen so many people slaughtered and killed just in the name of soul society, to not dishonour them he wont go out and destroy soul society but instead protect like his allies and friends would've wanted. Due to these events Xybalanque's personality has hardened over time and he's become desensitized to death however that doesn't stop him from fighting his hardest when his ally's lives are on the line, however the one thing he hates most in life is how many friends and how many people in his life he's lost, the most painful thing for him is the fact that he's forgotten most of them and that sickens him to the bone which is one of the many reasons as to why he hates himself so.

The history of Xybalanque is a long one, if there were to be a biography written about him fully explaining his life story it'd take well over 50,000 pages, 1450 years of life, 529601 days, the amount of things he's seen and experienced is too intricate and expansive that even he's forget the name of many of his fallen allies but those he held dear he cut into his arm with his sword, he still does this daily and if you lift up his sleeves you'll find five names "JIEA" "JUA" "HANCHO" "KIAMEDERA" "DOGMA"; each name on his arm is someone he holds dear and no one alive knows who they are what significance they hold to him but everyone knows that the millions, perhaps billions of people that he's witnessed die when they're his allies, which means these 5 people must've been so dear to him that he's willing to show that they're better than all of them. Xybalanque was born in eastern Japan and that's all about he and everyone else knows but the one most distinct memories Xybalanque holds dear to him and has written in detail many times so that if he ever forgets he will remember it, it was the day he managed to win his first fight against the third seat in the Eighth squad, this was the day he felt truly strong and was the way he developed his shikai, the only thing that truly reminds him of his human life.
