APPEARANCE The Quincy stands at a relatively tall 6'1 and weighs slightly under 170 pounds. Training and years of combat have provided him with an athletic build. He therefore can maintain a good balance between power and speed. Aldo holds himself in a manner that one might except of a Echt Quincy, though his pureblood heritage has nothing to do with it. There is a notable nonchalance in the way Aldo moves that makes him seem very carefree. The more trained eye will note that his casual confidence is a result of his skill. It would be a mistake to assume that Aldo is inattentive or not always poised to fight. A mistake that more than a few have made over the years. Aldo is generally considered to be handsome with his sharp features but that is of course up for debate. His relatively pale skin is a sign that he spent far too much time training in the depths of the Vatican. Aldo possesses a mop of blonde hair which noticeably contrasts with his azure eyes. Yet few actually see his eyes as he can almost always be seen wearing a pair of orange-tinted shades. Aldo himself isn't really sure anymore why he wears them, it's just another peculiarity of the Quincy. In the rare moments when he does remove his sunglasses, one can see a brightness in his gaze that is indicative of his intellect. Despite his lifestyle, Aldo has avoided getting any tattoos over the years which comes as a surprise to many. If there is one thing that can be said about Aldo, it is that he always well-dressed. The Quincy can almost always be seen wearing a high-quality tailored suit. He usually wears a striped shirt with a tie of his choosing. Occasionally he will leave the tie loosened or eschew the suit jacket. Aldo's Quincy Cross hangs around his neck but is usually hidden behind his clothes. The Quincy keeps no less than six Seele Schneiders on his person at any given time, though they are usually tucked out of sight. Overall, he looks like like nothing more than a rich socialite with too much free time on his hands.
PERSONALITY Aldo is not exactly what one would call the poster child for the Vatican Order of Knights or the Quincy for that matter. He lacks the requisite faith, determination, and general willingness. Aldo can sometimes be infuriatingly difficult to understand but his motives are usually quite simple. He almost always is looking for a way to either enrich himself or amuse himself. His loyalty to the Vatican and the Heiligen Richter is very fiscal in nature. Aldo sees the Vatican as an establishment that has existed for over a thousand years and thus the safest best for employment. Of course there is also an intangible which draws him towards the organization; an odd mixture between fear and curiosity. Yet despite all his failings and apparently shallow nature, Aldo has managed to rise high among the ranks of the Vatican's Order of Knights. There is one very simple explanation and that is Aldo's talent. Many question his unorthodox methods but few have ever questioned his intelligence. Aldo's greatest strength is his ability to process information quickly and adapt effectively to the situation at hand. His natural intellect combined with his impressive martial prowess make for a deadly combination. Of course his occasional recklessness can sometimes put him in extremely disadvantageous positions. Therefore while talented he does have a habit of walking into ambushes and traps every so often. It may be that he does this purposely because Aldo truly relishes a good challenge. Talented fighters continuously seek worthy opponents, and Aldo is much the same. The Quincy possesses the general attitude of an Italian playboy, which shouldn't come as much of a surprise considering his background. He is charming, materialistic, and just a little bit too impressed with himself. This generally means that he gets along well with others but his personality can rub some people the wrong way. He can also be rather capricious which can be difficult to deal with at times. His nonchalance towards the upper echelons of the Vatican usually does not sit well with his peers. Conversation with him may seem shallow but that is not always the case. The more observant person would recognize the natural intelligence he possesses even if it is not always at the forefront. He is generally indifferent to both Shinigami and Hollows. Aldo has never been scorned or personally offended by either races. He will kill either race if he needs to but otherwise doesn't find them any more reprehensible than a normal human. In this way he can sometimes make for a good emissary or ambassador to the other two races. Aldo finds that personal bias gets in the way of him having fun. Therefore the Quincy can be a staunch ally in the right circumstances, assuming one can put up with his eccentricities.

HISTORY Born into a pureblood Quincy family, Aldo did not want for anything. The Scaglietti's were a household name in city of Modena and both his parents had made a name for themselves during their time. His parents had removed themselves from the Vatican and the Quincy in general. They had become tired of the endless politics and fighting in general. Thus they retreated back into the the normal world of humans, raising their son with their previous experiences in mind. Loving parents and a stable household meant that Aldo had a peaceful early childhood. Unfortunately it seemed that things would not go so smoothly for the Scaglietti's. Aldo's grandmother was a powerful force within the Vatican and she was not one to miss a possible opportunity to strengthen the Quincy. Even in his early years, the young Scaglietti showed remarkable promise. Both his parents had been talented Quincy in their time but Aldo's potential eclipsed theirs. Aldo had already began to bore of things around him and sought some further entertainment. He was young and his grandmother was far from some senile old bat, it took little effort to convince Aldo to join the Vatican and undergo proper training. His parents had little say in the matter of their son's future. He was quickly placed into training for the Vatican's Order of Knights, the elite force of the Quincy. Aldo was in for a bit of culture shock having been suddenly placed under such a strict organization. His carefree attitude was not well received and his instructors went through great lengths to hammer it out of him, eventually with only minimal success. Aldo was definitely a step ahead of many of his peers but he also learned he was far from the only talented individual among the Quincy. Of course this only served to drive the young Quincy into honing his abilities to a greater level. A few things became clear in the initial years of Aldo's training. The first was that he possessed a relatively high level of spiritual power, similar to the level of a Shinigami captain. It was also discovered, somewhat embarrassingly, that he was only average with a bow. His instructors were keen to find a way to mold Aldo into a useful combatant. Luckily their search was not in vain. It turns out that Aldo was extremely proficient with the special Quincy arrow which doubled as a sword, the Seele Schneider. In the end he honed himself into a close-range fighter that utilizes multiple Seele Schneiders and techniques that revolve around them such as Sprenger. It was initially believed that Aldo would join the main military sect of the Order of Knights but that was not to be. His unorthodox style of combat combined with his occasionally insubordinate attitude would not have worked well in that particular unit. Therefore Aldo joined the Vatican's Order of Holy Knights 12th Apostel which is tasked with special operations. A unit initially renowned for representing the darker side of the Vatican. Initially the sect was in charge of assassinations, interrogations, and other 'dirty' tasks to the Vatican could not be publicly connected. The years have changed the group though vestiges of its secrecy still remain. It is now often in charge of miscellaneous tasks but the nature of such tasks are often dependent on the Knight-Commander. The head of the unit tends to recruit members of a similar personality and as such the 12th Apostel has differed widely over the years. Considering Aldo's talent, it was not long before he came to head the special unit. The Vatican's special operations division is now comprised of an eclectic but dangerous group of Quincy. In a time where the Quincy are on the verge of Civil War, the 12th Apostel is likely to see more use than it has in centuries.
