Ririka Sakura
[attr="class","kico"]
medium • FULLBRING • student • female • 16 • Riri,Lily
[attr="class","khead"]Appearance.
[attr="class","kbody"]Colors:
Her hair is long, reaching her lower back. Its gives the impression that she has crimson hair, but in the right light it can be seen that the strands are a dark pink in color. There is a straight texture to the follicles, but hair is susceptible to the elements, so she must take care of it. But she cares for her hair, both for its health and its appearance, and so she typically has her hair tied in some way.
Riri's eyes are purple, almost pink, gems. They are large gems that alternate between puzzlement and intrigue.
Physique:
Riri's petite and skinny body cannot be attributed to exercise or dieting. Those two two activities that she could never dream of performing. She hates exercising. It's too much for her, and she doesn't feel good when she's done doing it. And with all the sweets she cares to enjoy, she'd never think of watching what she eats. Fortunately she has been blessed with a fast metabolism, and her activities give her the bare minimum for physical exertion.
Overall, Riri is a small girl, standing at a height of 5'0," and weighing 106 lbs. Her body has begun to develop into that of an adult though. She has a small breasts, and she has some curves, but they're nothing that'll get her attention. Her rounder features will keep her looking childish for a few more years.
Attire:
Ririka is the type to love what she loves. To try to describe her attire, even her usual attire, would be difficult because there is a large selection she chooses from. But she is consistent in some ways.
Her clothing will usually match her mood when she is getting dressed. When she is upset she'll wear dark or blue clothing, and if she's happy she'll wear bright and flighty outfits. As for the types of clothing, she prefers shorts and tank-tops in the summer and sweaters in the winter.
Abnormalities:
Riri has few physical traits like these. The only abnormalities worth noting are that her ears are each pierced at the lobe.

POSITIVE TRAITS:
POSITIVE TRAITS:
Organized - This is a girl that doesn't like searching for stuff. As such, everything in her world has a place. She ensures that, and will become anxious if her systems are ruined.
Problem Solver - Games and fashion have something in common. Given a situation, how to you make the best of it. How do you beat this level, or decide on the right outfit. Riri's hobbies have developed her problem solving skills.
Creative - She knows how to use what's at her disposal to make a job or project easier or quicker.
Analytical - Following from the previous two traits, Riri is analytical. She'll look at a situation for what she can get out of it, and she has no problem doing so.
Trustworthy - Riri doesn't go back on her word. If she tells herself or another person that she'll do something, she'll do it. This can reach borderline naive.
[/ul]
NEGATIVE TRAITS:
Lazy - Riri likes what she likes. She also doesn't like what she doesn't like. If she can avoid something she doesn't like, she'll do all she can to do that. This leads to the next trait.
Evasive - Riri will avoid troublesome tasks, people and things. Worst of all, she has a mind that will allow her to see something troublesome coming, and she'll choose whatever options or paths will let her avoid it.
Fixed - While a stubborn person would argue why they shouldn't do something or why they do something, Ririka doesn't do that. She's fixed in her choices, her hobbies and her likes. To try to get her to do something else, she'll just walk away without saying a word.
Quirky - Ririka can see things that normal humans cannot. She knows this. She also realizes that other people tend to think she's weird. As such she does casually talk about what she sees, as if everyone in the world could see hidden entities in the world like her.

[attr="class","khead"]History.
[attr="class","kbody"]Past:
Life began for Ririka 16 years ago, in Kyoto, Japan. There, she became the child to a loving couple. Both her mother and father, by this time, had established themselves in careers that they enjoyed. Her mother had a clothing shop in the city, and her father was a game developer at a prominent corporation. Even with the birth of a child, they continued with their dream jobs. Her mother watched her at the shop, and her father worked during the day, and returned during the night.
That was the life that Ririka remembered. It was a happy life. The happiest life she could imagine. And during her younger childhood she was a sociable girl with a broad range of interest. She was the type of kid that wanted to be a cowboy astronaut firefighter police officer, because she had been influenced by her parents' success.
That began to change when she was older. Around the time she was 9 years old there was a subtle transition that Ririka was not aware of. Her mother's business continued as it did, but work for her father shifted. It changed. Slowly, over time, her father stayed home more often.
At first that went unnoticed. Ririka went to school, and her father would be there when she returned. There was nothing strange about that. She was sure he was working while she was away. Her happy times continued because during the time before her mother returned home she would play and learn video games with her father.
Ririka could not remain that naive for too long. Over the next couple of years she noticed that her father would still be asleep when she left for school. It occurred to her that there was no way that he was getting to work. He did leave in a tie and suit every so often, but most days he stayed at home.
He did some house work. Played his games. House work. Played more games. House work. Then even more games. At the age of 12 Ririka realized that her father was an addict. She was sure of it. To her it seemed as if he was staying home to play games. That he did not work anymore. She was wrong, and she only learned that when it was too late.
That same year came the most traumatic event in this once happy girl's life. Her father disappeared one night, and he didn't return. A day passed. Two days. Several days. He did not come back--He was found dead. The cause of death was unknown.
Ririka sought answers. She wanted to know why her father changed, and why he had to die. She distanced herself from her classmates. At home she searched. Searched her father's room, his office and his games for reasons. And from her searches she discovered: her father was no addict, and he was onto something.
Those hours he spent playing games were only the hours that she was together with him. Because when she went to bed, he was hard at work. The man had left work to pursue his own research into technology that he alone was developing. And he used the games he played for research that went into the device he was creating.
The device was to be a piece of headgear that, when worn, would allow a person to immerse themselves into a digital world. However, before her father's death he had only developed it far enough to view and walk through this virtual world.
Though at the time she could do nothing with it, Ririka kept the device he was working on. Even as her father's investors asked about it, she denied that anything concrete was done, and continued to look over his notes herself.
Fullbring:
For a short period after his death, Ririka didn't think about why her father died. She was searching for answers, and here she found a treasure trove. It took time for her to process all that her father did. But eventually those other questions returned. Her father did not kill himself. He was found dead, and there was not enough evidence that he was attacked.
Every day, she went to the spot that he was found, and she searched for clues. But weeks went by, and by then it was hopeless.
That was until one night that was unlike the rest. She had gone to that spot to look around, and taken a break to sit on a nearby bench. But then something strange happened. An explosion shook the area. And a cloud arose near where she sat. Immediately after a loud, screeching cry ripped through the air.
At first she could only hear what was there. Then it became clearer. She could see the outline of something large, with glowing red eyes.
She ran from it. Without knowing what it was, she moved away from it as fast as she could. But it chased after her. Down the path, down the road. It was right behind her.
The events that followed remain fuzzy for her. Ririka clutched the one item she brought every time she came to this spot, the device that her father created. It pulsated in her hand. She felt she had to do something with it, and so she placed it on her head. That's when the world changed for her.
Desperate as she was, and due to other factors, her spirit power grew, and along with that so did her spiritual sensitivity. She could then see what was chasing her, a large beast that did not look all too happy. At the same time she felt weird.
The device on her head felt strange, like it was calling out to her. Like it expected something of her. This was unlike an interaction with an object. This was like she was with something, someone familiar. When she placed the visor on her head, she could not help but remember the times she spent with her father, playing those games of his.
Of course that wasn't enough to help her defeat a hollow. This is the part that she still does not understand herself. Upon seeing her in the visor, the hollow appeared to back off. It hesitated, and then turned around. Right after something, or someone attacked it.
What she may eventually learn is a shinigami showed up and engaged the beast. And at the moment right before it was defeated, that same familiar feeling came to her.
Since that day she has been able to see things she couldn't see before. Ghosts are a common sight for her, and she has seen more of those beasts. She also has sought more of those people in black, like the one that defeated the hollow.
Most importantly, she has found that while wearing her father's device, it allows her to perform feats that it could not do before that day.
Present:
The years that followed included Ririka looking over her father's research and playing his games. Most importantly, she practiced more with the special abilities of her father's device. And indulged herself in the paranormal that no one else in the world could see.
At home she remained close with her mother, who did not date or remarry. Her mother's store grew enough that they were developing local lines of clothing.
At school Ririka never returned to being as friendly and social as she once was. Rather, she became stranger. Because she couldn't talk about what she could see or what her father's device could do, she had little to say to other people. And that had already created mix-messages with other students, so she has allowed others to think of her what they will. She likes what she likes, and dislikes what she dislikes. Ririka goes through life at her usual pace. She strives to understand the world more, and most of all wants to understand the device of hers more.
