ALIAS: Rokubantai Taichō, Captain.
RACE: Shinigami.
AGE: Two-Hundred, Twenty-One (221).
AFFILIATION: Seireitei, Gotei 13, Rokubantai.
DIFFICULTY SETTING: Hard.
APPEARANCE: Upon his mane are several strands of ebony locks that are of quite significant length, reaching to the epicenter of his neck; twisting, and tangling as they run wild upon his crown, his eyebrows being of a resembling shade, greatly resembling the same ebony nature as his hair. Though he is a relic of time, being a couple centuries old; his facade allures those to assume he is within his early twenties; his jaw structure aligned perfectly, his skin not littered with tattoos or scars of any sort. His frame being bulk, toned; his fair-skin complexion completing his physical appearance. One would assume the man to be a perfectionist, by the way he carries himself on a daily basis. His attire resembles that of a shinigami captain, carrying the insignia of the sixth division upon his back; his zanpaktou upon his left hip.
PERSONALITY: Cold. The only word in the human dictionary to describe this being's personality, for he has lost his humanity— no longer the caring person he was previously. Sojirō's cruel, uncaring, and bashful ways has caused many to stray from him, not willing to put up with the harsh ways of his; which, he refuses to change. Over the centuries, he has learned that survival is indeed for the fittest, those who are weak and cannot fend for themselves; death would be the only plausible punishment for them. Bringing to light that this man has a craving, a lust for power. Not in terms of physical power, more-so power to be respected; physical power is not what he is interested in. Respect is everything to him, although he does not give it, he demands it at all times.
To compliment his cold behavior; he carries the ability to manipulate others, bending them to his will, corrupting them to become pawns in his master scheme. He does not have a literal ability that allows such; just that his persuasiveness is truly at its peak. Those with the utmost durable will, seem to breakdown to the man's wordplay that fondles the ears of those he sees fit. Sojirō's mental-will, is truly noteworthy, the trait bringing forth the inability to listen to others. He refuses to bow to those that claim they are great, mocking them whenever he can, taking hold of any chance. Along with his persuasive and devious nature, is his intellectuality that truly belittles those who are not capable of keeping up with his way of thinking.
Nonetheless, do not mistake him for an entirely cruel person; he does have his good ways about him, it just takes certain people to allow that side to hence forth; a side, which he only allows a few to witness because of his personal issues.
Masked underneath all of this corruption, this cry for dominance; is a man that believes in loyalty. His loyalty to those that have earned it, shall, and cannot be question; this man will die before he betrays those that are close to him. It is rare that someone can even get that close to Sojirō, which proves that they indeed worked for that trust to be developed. Those that are viewed as kin by his eyes along, would always see the true good nature of the captain; his ability to actually attempt to make things good, even though his methods may not be appropriate— they still linger with a trace of good; only for those he is indeed attempting to aid. He is indeed a mysterious being that many cannot put a finger on, boggling their minds with his uncommon nature.
HISTORY: It was the year ---, the era of Samurai. The boy was born by a family of peasants, not even truly remembering their names for he was slaughter at the age of six for stealing from their master. That's all he remembers, which truly molded him into the man he is today; cold and merciless.
If memory served correct, Sojirō was resided outside the walls of Seireitei; his adoptive mother and father not coming from a royal family, but still tried their best to give him the best life they possibly could. His father and mother were loving, caring, understanding, and much more, but for some odd reason that wasn't enough for the likes of the child; he always wanted more. Since he was able to walk and talk, the boy had envied those that came from royalty, viewing how they were worshipped by those of lower class and were praised as gods of some sort.
Coming from the slums within Rukongai, district fourty-three to be exact; he was surrounded by crime— learning from young that survival was for the fittest. Those who were weak, incapable of being respected and not able to defend themselves would die and perish. He had watch a young boy, no younger than himself killed for simply attempting to back talk a group; that alone opening his eyes to this harsh and cold world. Everyone was for themselves and those within packs felt they deserved to be respected.
His spiritual pressure always made those around him feel uneasy, constantly avoiding him even when he did attempt to make friends.
When he came of age, he went to the Shin'ō Academy, his talents within the arts of zangetsu and hōhō being highly noted by his peers. Though he was no prodigy, he surely was a part of the top three within his class that was noted by his teachers; his origins proving to fascinate them of the boy's knowledge and gifts. During his academy years, he had completed many of his courses in a decent amount of time, not even having to wait six years.
Eventually he worked his way up the ranks, and was bestowed with the position of Rokubantai Taichō.
