Yatsume, Aibuhime

LOW SPIRITUAL POWER| Due to her age and focus on studying, not training, Aibuhime has low spiritual pressure. She is weaker than most shinigami, and the majority of her noble bloodline has either skipped her over or is simply locked away. When manifested it, it is a faint violet color. 

NOVICE SWORDSMAN| Quite frankly, Aibuhime has no idea how to use a sword. She has no interest in ever learning. 

NOVICE HAND-TO-HAND| Melee combat is something Aibuhime tries to avoid if she ever does get into a fight. Because of this, she has no idea how to properly fight. 

PRACTITIONER AGILITY| Due to her spiritual control, Aibuhime has a decent grasp on shunpo, and is able to move swiftly with it. Despite this, she is not very acrobatic, and does not enjoy having to move quickly. 

EXPERT PERCEPTION| Decades of studying and having to notice the subtle changes of things has given Aibuhime a third eye. When it comes to noticing things, especially spiritual, she can be considered a master; however, she has no combat sense whatsoever, and is bad at thinking in the heat of the moment. 

EXPERT SPIRITUAL CONTROL| As a member of the Kidoushuu, Aibuhime has a knack for spiritual control. Her own research has granted her the sheer knowledge of how to manipulate her reiryoku adeptly. She is capable of hiding from all but the most perceptive eyes, and can adeptly ration out her reiryoku for kidou. 

KIDOU EXPERT| Aibuhime is an expert at kidou, and has the knowledge of all ninety-nine spells in every school, including the forbidden. Even so, she has not put in enough time to claim that she is a master, and can not use all spells due to her weak spiritual force. Despite this, she knows how to perform them, their incantations, and how to manipulate her spiritual pressure to imitate every single kidou.

GENIUS INTELLECT| Aibuhime is a genius. This fact is agreed upon by everyone who has read her research. She can understand complex math and hard to digest theories after a single glance over. More importantly, due to her unique perception, she is able to see things others would not. Holes in strategies, flaws in theories, and errors in complex papers and research are as easy for to pick out as it is for a child to get lost in cartoons.. 

ZANPAKUTOU

NAME: Natsu no Hi (夏の日 lit. Summer Days) 

SEALED: Natsu no Hi takes the form of a traditional katana. Its hilt is wrapped in maroon silk, and the guard and pommel are both bright gold. Despite her lack of interest in zanjutsu, Aibuhime takes constant care of it. 

ZANPAKUTOU SPIRIT: Natsu no Hi takes the form of drifting dandelions. They move about over a field of violet grass that stands four meters in height. Whenever they communicate, they form mouths to talk. What lies beyond the grass Aibuhime does not know. 

RELEASE PHRASE: “Don’t be lost in doubt, Natsu no Hi.” 

SHIKAI: When released, the blade of Natsu no Hi disappears, turning into thousands of floating dandelions. They are able to be manipulated through movements of the katana’s hilt. 

ABILITIES: 

UNNAMED ABILITY| The primary ability that Aibuhime has discovered is the ability to absorb memories. The dandelions, upon coming into contact with anything, instantly gain the knowledge of whatever has happened within the last year to that thing. For every dandelion touching an object Aibuhime is able to add another year. Once she has more than fifty, however, the drain on her spiritual power becomes too much. It is hypothesized that with more spiritual power, she could use all two thousand dandelions. A unique aspect of her shikai is that this even applies to abstract things, such as time and space. She could remember if a person was standing where she was just by having a dandelion float in that location. When initially released, the dandelions are turned off. This is to protect Aibuhime from having to absorb an insane amount of information at once. By activating them with a mental impulse, she is able to start gaining the information. Having more than three activated at a time on different objects is her current limit.
