Snow fell delicately around her in white tufts that seemed too soft to be real. In fact, even when Phoebe reached out to tough the snow it seemed to disappear as if it was an ethereal figment of her imagination. A small grin, so private and knowing, spread softly across her face as the snow seemed to fall softer than before. The snow was the purest white, much like the traditional Quincy garb. Even as it landed it seemed to present itself gracefully and in great earnest. Her cheeks took on a rosy red as she stood outside on her hotel balcony. She had decided that she was done with the world of business. She had made an incredible amount of money, and figured that, with her family fortune, it was time for her to do what she truly wanted to do in life.
She wanted to break out from the ridiculous agreement that the Quincy line had with the Shinigami. The Quincy were made to annihilate hollows regardless of what they thought. She needed to show them the folly of their ways, but she had to prepare. She had no idea where she would start and she needed allies with information. She needed Quincy who would aid her, and Quincy who knew how to get into the Soul Society. Sighing, lightly, she looked up into the sky. It was strange how, when it snowed, the sky didn't seem to turn dark but, rather, it seemed it all meshed well together. The thought made her smile as she pressed her back into balcony railing. Things were getting intense, quickly, and she had no idea how she should proceed. There were some informants, supposedly, going to meet her while she was staying in Rome.
Not that she truly minded the wait, after all, she was in her home country and at one of the most historic places. If only people knew how close they were to what they wanted most. People spent their lives writing about magic, and energy, and all of that "Science Fiction" and yes most of it was all around them. Most of the people were just too ignorant to see that and, that, was rather ironic to the female beauty. She laughed quietly, shaking her coat slightly. It was frosty days like these where she was forced to abandon her skimpy clothing in place of more suitable attire. Not that she felt like she could walk around in micro-shorts and a cut off t-shirt.
Looking over the balcony she watched the people as they walked by, all innocent and unknowing of exactly what was could happen. Coincidentally, at that time, her senses snapped her head up. She closed her eyes and focused, feeling the world around her in a different manner than most would.
"Two hundred meters, north west. Two, both low levels." She confirmed internally before a light "swish" left nothing but startled air where her body had just been milliseconds before. Traveling like this was second nature to her, feeling the reishi collect under her feet and thrust her forward before returning for another round. Feeling the wind past through her face brought tears to her eyes and she was forced to navigate via feeling around for the reiatsu. This worked pretty successfully and within moments she found herself over them.
Opening her eyes, she grimaced. They were fighting over a soul who was too paralyzed to move, Phoebe instantly felt a twinge of remorse for how scared the girl must have been, but, at least she was there now. Clutching at the cross around her neck, it only took a second for two throwing knives glowing blue to form between her index finger and ring finger.
"Let's do this, Terra Clamare."
She tossed the blades down swiftly, one for each hollow. One was too distracted to know what was happening, and the knife impaled its mask, obliterating it. The other one, however, had more perception than the other and only got impaled in the leg. Moving it's spider like body, it released a red beam of light that raced toward myself. She grimaced at having to avoid such a savage attack, but she nonetheless allowed Hirenkyaku to guide her away.
Forming three more knives between her fingers, her attack was swift. She threw one behind it, and two toward the front. As she had anticipated it jumped back to avoid the first two and got the third right in its mask before it dissolved away. With a sigh of relief she prepared to leave when she felt another reiatsu closing in...except. This one was way out of the hollow league, this one was more trained and way more powerful. She had felt it before, just not this close to her. She had felt it before, but had no way of identifying it. Her jaw set in stone, she formed four more blades into her hand and waited.
A Shinigami was coming.
