Clashing steel sang into the air, and instinct panged into Enmei’s bones. Dancing strands of red sliced off with the curving of a blade, his body scrunched downward like a frightened and infuriated cat. He broke the parry in a twirling motion, twisting his right leg into a counter-clockwise spin to trip her from the skins. But the feminine counterpart was already gone, and his kick met the air, and he rode the motion into a frontal crouched position.

There were no more mocking words. His eyes met his target, and his location was a mere mark of memory.

He appeared directly in front of Enmei, his blade fenced to impale her right in the heart—but it was façade. The millisecond that his blade would have ended her heartbeats, his form disappeared in another high-speed motion and materialized him not a foot behind her. He stood tall, gripped his blade with a two-handed grip, and executed an artful, and extremely swift overhead slash to end her with a painful bifurcation.

Enmei’s two-handed thrust slammed against their steel, and pushed down with all of his might against their one hand, knowing in mere seconds the clash would forfeit the feminine figure’s life—regardless of the consequences. Her secondary blade rammed through the midst of his chest, and nearly overpowered the hatred pinched palette of his visage! He knew he had been outplayed in the maelstrom of his mind, but as he coughed and snorted blood onto her ruined garbs and skins, his care for the matter faded.

“To protect those who need protecting, strike the enemy from the rear.” He growled, attempting to retain some semblance of his arrogance. It was a memento of their shared memory in the academy.

He forced every ounce of his physical strength into his blade, and continued to rush his way through the feminine spirit; their blade no doubt cracking under the potency of his fury. And in seconds, he would slice through their steel, and leave The Tyrant’s consciousness as a forgotten phase in his memory—and leave justice with it.

His form began to gradually disperse into the ether from the feet up, but his spiritual pressure only grew more powerful. The grin on his face grew wider, and the dark cackle that quivered his throat only heighted in volume; absolutely scarring the atmosphere. “It’s too late to abandon the dark path.” He mocked, his lip stilled, while his deep voice echoed throughout the entirety of the world.

His midsection slowly gave away into maroon particles, and his eyes grew wider. His smirk lethargically became veiled by gathering particles manifesting a white mask accented in red. As his body dissolved, the features of the mask assembled at a matching rate. It was sharp at the end, with a parting going under both ears. From the chin and the partings ornamented broken, six-inch ruby chains. Red swirls extended from the shin and blossomed under the teeth, and reached from the two ear chains to end in swirls under the eyes. And even that dispersed.

But he would not be misunderstood again.

“You are a Hollow now.” His chuckling slowly dimmed, and rose into the air with the particles of his body. Each molecule swam together before her face and formed into a gigantic, ghastly beam, and flew into her throat! The beam fully unclenched her jaw, and seared into every contour of her internal structure in yearlong seconds. The agony introduced enlightenment, overwhelming power, and the taint necessary to attain justice.

And the feminine spirit would soon pass out.
