"Solid stares, uneven high expectations
A generation's entitlement comes undone."
NAME: Seiryū, Hiromasa
ALIAS: "Little Conqueror"
AGE: 70
HEIGHT: 5'7"
WEIGHT: 165 lbs.
ALLIANCE: Shinigami
DIFFICULTY: Hard
APPEARANCE: A young, good-looking boy of few words and even fewer expressions. Hiromasa's youthful appearance is evident, and often looks out of place amongst his peers due to his age . . . well, by soul society standards. He isn't very tall or bulging with muscle, although its easy to see he has the physique of somebody quite agile and strong for his size. His hair is a dark black, short and relatively straight, kept neat and presentable and trimmed regularly. His eyes are a deep, icy blue - a perfect representation of his cool demeanor. When it comes to his clothing, he wears nothing but the finest, whether it be Shinigami robes, casual clothing or the multitude of accessories at his disposal. He strongly believes in presenting himself in a fashion worthy of both the Seiryū, and his individual talents.
PERSONALITY: Curious, calculating, and unnerving, probably amongst some of the words one would use to describe Hiromasa. To describe him would be like explaining colour to a blind person, I mean sure you could go on and on about what you've seen, but you really have no idea until you experience it for yourself. He gives off a cold, careless aura often attributed to his heritage, but beneath his exterior is a will and ambition like no other. He works tirelessly to perfect his craft, to represent his bloodline with the skill and honour deserving of a Seiryū, but also with the desire to set himself apart from any of those before him. Even if you don't know him that well, it's easy to see in his face and in his actions that he moves with a purpose, an unyielding confidence in himself and even a tinge of arrogance. Although referred to as a "Prodigy" by many of his peers he sees himself as much more than that, and will never settle for less than he believes he deserves. Ultimately, he'll do whatever it takes to achieve his goals, although even he isn't entirely sure of what that may be. He's a mystery really - depending on the circumstance he can be your best friend, or the most horrible opponent you could come across.
HISTORY: Born into the noble family of the Seiryū, Hiromasa has known a life full of blessings and opportunity, but this isn't to say it has been easy by any means. He comes from a part of the Seiryū that had been long since forgotten, their children failing to live up to expectations - with barely any close relatives of his ever possessing that much spiritual pressure, or much talent for that matter. Where some Seiryū found success in the Shinigami ranks, his family found financial success as they quickly became one of the richest in existance. It wasn't up until Hiromasa that they'd ever think they could have a child that would ever become Captain material.
The boy's uncontrolled spiritual pressure was enough to outright kill his siblings, their weak bodies and pitiful spiritual pressure leaving them helpless to resist - his parents however would merely find themselves pulled down by this powerful force, unable to rise from their knees until the burst of energy faded. Where most parents would find sadness and despair in the situation, Hiromasa's father saw unlimited potential, the chance to return his family to their former glory and to improve their standing in the Rukongai and Soul Society.
Almost immediately, Hiromasa had been thrust into a lifestyle that was essentially breeding him to become a shinigami captain. Fortunately for him, money could by you most anything, so the best equipment and training were well within his grasp, even at an age where the poorer souls were still play fighting. He was forced into a life of daily training, honing his skills day in and out with limited social interaction, when he wasn't eating or sleeping he was practicing on controlling his spiritual energies, on sculpting his small body into a tool to utilize, training with a variety of weapons and even honing his mental acuity. This continued for decades, year after year his father spent ensuring he would become a prodigy like no other, and when he would finally enter the Shinigami Academy, he was literally so advanced beyond his peers that it seemed pointless for him to be there.
He would finish at the top of his class in all areas, easily passing all tests with a quiet arrogance about him, even going so far as to begin speaking to his blade almost just as fast as he'd gotten it. If there was any doubt left in the mind of his teachers, his uncanny spiritual control would blow them out of the water - however, there was no denying that he felt he deserved more. With his skill and qualifications, Hiromasa was expected to be accepted into any division of his choosing - and a seated position at that. But where one might compromise and take a lesser position, Hiromasa had an undeniably strong will - downright refusing to take any position other than captain.
Years passed, and in those years Hiro has only improved his talents further, soon achieving both his shikai and bankai after continuing his training regime in solitude. To this day he has refused to take any position other than the one he deserves, and until that day comes he will not provide them with the gift that is his service. The only question is what will come first - the job offer, or the challenge for the position?
