when the light runs from the day
will the darkness be too much?
will the darkness be too much?
It did take Trael quite awhile before she was able to calm herself down and stop the tears from flowing down her cheeks. She'd probably never admit to feeling this slight bit of relief after releasing her confined emotions from their cage, but it still helped her out quite a lot. At least now, with all her frustrations poured out, she was able to finally clear her clouded mind and focus on the upcoming challenges without trying to please anyone but herself. She should be the one setting bars for herself, and not comparing everything she does to the level of her superiors. There was a reason why they were of a higher position than her, after all.
Kurisu, however, did not seem impressed one bit. Usually, that woman was all jokes, all compassion and all smiles. Even when she got upset, it wouldn't last long. That's the kind of person Trael knew her Mistress to be, but right at this moment, she was displaying a completely different side that the subordinate has not seen before. Those words, spoken with a deathly serious tone.. it must have meant that she was upset with how her Fraccion performed, but who could blame her? Trael knew she had it in her to do better. Much better, in fact, but it seems that her chance of proving herself right had been rid of, what with the large hole in the wall where the machine used to be. It was such a shame, since this was a training she could have done by herself whenever she wished, but alas.
With her level of respect, admiration and even love for her Mistress, of course Trael was sad, but most of all, her expression was largely dominated by fear. Fear of being resented, fear of being called useless, and fear of losing her position to someone else more deserving than her. As she sat there, waiting for what seems to be the longest few minutes of her life, she started thinking of a life without her Mistress, but no matter how she tried twisting, turning and manipulating those thoughts to play out different scenarios in her head, none of it worked. None if it showed happiness. None of it.. she didn't want any part of it.
