Given that the Kidosho was still mostly on lockdown, she was one of the few members who were still able or authorized and capable of easily getting out – mostly because she was overseeing things. Her boss had his own agenda and plans, she left him to that, and knew full well how to not jeopardize them by doing anything reckless. Instead, she did what any good Fuku before her had done, and sought to make some contacts. Sure, the Kidocorps and the regular gotei did not interact as often as the members of the gotei themselves, but there was some mixing and mingling. Besides, with the current, turbulent times, it was not too surprising to exchange information and techniques. In fact, she was mostly doing this for a very specific reason: to avert suspicion. Sure, they were on lockdown, and no one got in, but if she, in her position, casually left to mingle with her peers, that should create a façade of normalcy good enough for imbeciles to believe. And she’d picked the freshest meat among her choices for this very reason, announcing her visit to this quiet division. She could not even tell who was currently heading it, with how little information there was about it. Either way, she was there now, having been allowed into the sixth’s training grounds, where the other one would await her. Training was the best way to get to know people – and to learn their secrets – so she had suggested doing this, kind of as an initiation for the fresh fukutaicho. Chie herself would arrive with her usual, casual gait, hands behind her back and zanpakuto casually on her hips. She’d opted for the short-skirted variant of her normal garb, as it offered more mobility. Regular gotei usually invested more in speed than she did, after all, so keeping up was paramount. Besides, she was still on improving her own skills there, just so she could keep up with the man who was leading her. |
