Division Five: Introduction

Division 5 of Gotei Thirteen houses The 5th Division follows the traditional organization of a Gotei 13 Division. The most notable feature in which Division 5 showcases is that it applies the most rigorous training and produces the most skilled and talented Shinigami. The division is said to excel at nurturing soldiers of immense talent.

The Fifth Division has been known to have the highest turnover rate for turning individual shinigami into vice-captains and captaincies. Aside from this, many of the seated individuals and lieutenants that make up of the current Divisions have been associated with the fifth division.

The fifth division provides a nurturing and cultivating environment along with a fluid structured programme aiming to improve not just the soldier's capabilities, but to improve their own livelihood and solidify morale and camaraderie between work and off time. This is unlike some of the other divisions with rigid structured survival-of-the-fittest power mindsets.

To attract talent despite their rigorous entry requirements, the Fifth Division provides the greatest benefits, a live community and the most amount of recreational associations out of all of the divisions. Aside from this, members are given higher paying jobs than the average division.
