NEW SLAVES PT. 2 [FEAT. MINERVA]

“Anything you need, my goddess.” He laughed, examining his fingers as the onslaught of bolts against his impenetrable skin lessened. She was about as proficient at guising her childishness as the mini-army of Quincy were at hiding there perspiration. He made a gun out of two fingers, concentrating greatly at the tip. He inhaled, scrunching his face slightly. And in the blink of an eye, reishi began to dance about his hands.

“Heilig Pfeil.” And with his chuckle, introduced a horde of holy bullets spraying out of his fingertips; the usurped power of the Le'Valiér Commander. The group of Quincy quailed at the sight, and before their sweaty foreheads gathered the thought to challenge his companion, the Shinigami pelted all of their bodies with a slew of batters and holes. Their screams and groans conquered the sound waves, and they should have been grateful for the mercy he gave them.

His head tilted towards his pure-blooded counterpart, chuckling as the female guarding the crystal attempted to curl confidence on her visage; knowing well that the Shinigami—and by extension Minerva—scared every military strategy from the forefront of her mind. He winked at the woman, and watched as his potential operative made art of her talents.

All of the trifling enemies that dared stand in the crime lord’s way had been dealt with, and his attention was free to admire Minerva in all of her goofy glory. He rubbed his temples, chuckling lightly with a shake of the head. A twinge of regret plunged into his soul; he was beginning to forget why he specifically chose her in the first place.

And for the first time in a century, it seemed as if not a single corny one-liner surfed through his mind. Sigh.

Though, it seemed as if luck or a mysterious brilliance dawned upon her. The woman, catching the redhead’s devilish glance, quailed at the menial arrow that launched towards her. She brought her bow down with all of her might, slamming the projectile into the ground – nearly soiling herself as the crystal behind crackled and slowly shattered into the ground. She fell on her bottom side, quaked in the fear of her failure, and ultimately at the mercy of Minerva.

“Atta girl.” He said, tilting his head at the three other crystals that began to shatter under the bolts that he had swiftly launched from his fingertips. “Making me proud.”

He winked, maneuvering his hand into a gun, and fired a simplistic, utterly weak holy arrow from his forefinger. It traveled at a pathetic speed, and would have poked an itch right into her bottom side. And there was only an innocent expression on his injured visage.
