The cut in itself clean and easy- though he had to say that he could do much better himself, there was no splatter, nor any scream heard in the first instant. In fact, he didn't hear anything at all after such a silence, his eyes merely upon their "leader". She he been the best back in the day.. but how would he match up to her as of now? Should he test his luck and try to aim for the same punishment- just to see if he could defend himself from her? Just about asking for it- though her words if instruction clouded his judgement next, he lifted his left hand to scratch at the back of his neck, sighing lightly. Yeah, sucked a lot for the armless wonder- wasn't e first time that someone lost an arm or something.. though the pure disrespect in not allowing it to happen in battle? Yeah, that stung.

Returning to his previous position as information was dished out and dealt left and right, he didn't process it clearly, though he heard a few things of interest. Quincy. New York. Trouble. Stuff that meant people would have to be mobilized- meaning squads in general and those that had enough power to bring a stop to.. well, what was happening. Eyes on Itada a brief spell as he took note of the people possibly having high amounts of reishi and the like, he didn't really care much. It wasn't as though in a fight the amount mattered, right? In fact, he had to say that if it came down to it, he could end it all himself if he was chosen to be sent out. On that matter however, should he.. ?

"Hm."

This uttered in response to Jingu's appraisal of her own going and abilities, he allowed his right hand to rise, as though he were asking a question. "If I may. I think it'd be best- if you are choosing, to send Itada first off, as well as Kariya-san. If we are being sent, that is. They seem to have the most experience of us in dealing with this, so.."

Shi'Kuyo stood there like furniture while the lot of them squabbled, spoke their peace, squabbled, spoke their accusations and squabbled some more. It was to be expected for being of their caliber to clash; they spent way more time dishing out orders than taking them. Which is why losing one's arm for being insubordinate was fitting for a captain and with two healers in the room of captain class there was little chance of his incident being anything more than an example and nothing that couldn't be undone. "Sōtaichō before you disperse the Gotei's captains I have a request."

Though only a lieutenant he spoke with the confidence of a captain himself, his age alone surpassing half the captain's here. Sure of his skills and sure of his place in the oncoming operation he continued. "With the exceptions of the Sanbantai and Juuichibantai-Taichō.." He flashed the Kenpachi a look of smirking encouragement. The equivalent to winking at her without actually winking at her. He definitely wanted her down there flexing.. she wouldn't fit into his plans for the rest of the captains any how letting her loose was for the best given the stakes high loss of life and the collateral damage already done. As for Yoshiro-Taichō his wife was potentially in a danger beyond her talents which was actually saying something. Shi'Kuyo wouldn't get in the way of an old man fighting to get to his lover. Especially ones who could punch like that one. "... I would like for you to discharge your remaining captains into my custody."

He cleared his throat. "Under mandatory order."

To support his request he went on quickly. "The Kidōshū has recently developed a unique Kekkai; a barrier spell that prohibits the entry of Quincy attacks or techniques in their entirety for a duration of time." His face was unyielding as he stared down the Sōtaichō, somewhat implying it was more than a request, he was almost imploring her. "I can have the most advanced kidō practitioners weaponized with this barrier in under two hours, the rest in another two hours. Following that I'll move on to the available lieutenants and any other special interest officers you or the captains can recommend."

He could feel someone about to interject so he surmised fast.

"To clarify; the remaining nine as well as the other three are both capable of and entitled to learning this barrier on their own time but with my instruction the times and effort required to do so will be shaved back drastically for practitioners of their caliber. Whats more is that its best to seize this opportunity now, while they are all here together." He didn't think himself to be asking a lot. The two captains left to be sent out were both of great power and experience and as their reputations preceded them, the Lieutenant Commander knew them both to be very effective in an assault. Besides that the ones remaining behind would only be such for a small window of time.

His confidence almost never teetered over into over-confidence and this time felt no different. He was beyond sure the Sōtaichō would agree to the logic of his offer.

Casting his gaze to the one known as King before he had left the room, he leered with distaste as his mind questioned the man's words. How could he speak of faith with those four Quincy down there? He was supposed to know better than anyone about the calculations and likelihood of casualties, especially given that he already knew the circumstances. Not only that, but many of them seemed to quip and speak with a demeanor that subjected others below them, and as of now he would have more more of it.

Leaving in a hurry, Ryusuke showed off his mundane mindset and fleet of foot as his Shunpo carried him through the doors, causing them to clatter from the sudden force of movement. It appeared getting along wasn't so easy for Ryusuke, and he now had the feeling to give everyone the cold shoulder until he saw his Fuku-Taichou back inside the walls of Seireitei.
