Nobility of the Sereitei
Inside the Sereitei there are throngs of different people with different family names that go on living in the Rukongai, or joining the Shinōreijutsuin (Shin'ō Academy). Among the population there are those who, usually, house stronger Shinigami and are very wealthy. The nobility of the Sereitei are also extremely influential. Each of the houses have a head who leads the rest of the family members.Jukan - The Jukan family is the most illustrious and powerful of the Seven Noble families, notable especially by the current Sōtaichō, who presides over the whole Gotei 13. Their family is also the largest and the most influential. Most of the time they teach their children to be highly religious and to almost worship the Soul King.Notable Members:
Ryūgamine - The Ryūgamine family are also illustrious, but for other reasons. The Ryūgamine influence is wide and they often begin teaching their young from a very young age. Because of this the members tend to be incredibly intelligent, far beyond the normal of those who enter the Academy.Notable Members:
Seiryū - The Seiryū are the second greatest of the Noble Houses, behind the Jukan. They are also the wealthiest and tend to give birth to those with great spiritual prowess. Unspoken, but understood, those who are highly ranked tend to be highly arrogant. Though, in most cases, their arrogance is backed by their skill.Notable Members:
Tsukinode - The Tsukinode are a wealthy and influential family. However, while most of the houses try to further themselves by sending their children to the Academy and taking Captain positions, they tend to simply marry off to their higher ranking families and further themselves that way. Nonetheless they are still well respected as one of the Seven Noble Houses.Notable Members:
Shimuzu - While not as notorious as the Jukan, the Shimuzu are still a very wealthy and respected family. Often creating Captains, they trained most of their children hard as they grew up. Most of them also show great intelligence, rounding off to be almost perfect Shinigami.Notable Members:
Tokomaru - The Tokomaru stand as the both the smallest and the most recently inducted of the noble houses. Across two generations so far they have been shown to produce multiple souls of substantially dense Reiryoku and stable temperament. Though not as wealthy nor revered as the other families their induction into nobility was made true by their contributions to the Shin'ō Academy and Kidōshū, likewise their anomalistic trait to retain memories of their mortal lives for those of them who had such.Notable Members:
